Plain English: we collect what we need to run Scribedeck, we don't sell it, and we don't train AI on your sermons.

Who we are

Scribedeck is presentation software for churches, operated from the United States. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions go to support@scribedeck.app.

What we collect

Account and workspace information — the email address and password you sign up with, your display name, your church or organization name, and (if you choose to add it) your address, city, state, and country.

Content you create — sermon notes and documents you upload, slides and decks you build, your song library, orders of service, background images, logos, files dropped into Speaker drop, and audio or video you add to a deck.

Billing information — if you subscribe, your plan, subscription status, and renewal date. Card numbers are entered directly with Stripe and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

Basic technical information — standard server and security logs kept by our hosting and database providers, used to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.

Personal notes taken by people following along

Anyone following a service on their phone can take private notes and, with a free personal account, save them. Those notes belong to the person who wrote them. They are not visible to the church, its leaders, or its Scribedeck workspace, and we do not use them for anything other than showing them back to that person.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your sermons, songs, or slides to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, each handling only what they need to do their job:

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not share your information with advertisers.

Bible text and translation

Bible verses filled in automatically come from public-domain translations. When a follower picks a language, verses use a real translation in that language where we have one; other slide text is machine translated. Translation happens on demand and we do not build a profile of the person requesting it.

How long we keep things

Decks and files dropped into Speaker drop are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically — download anything you want to keep long-term. Your song library, background designs, brand kit, and workspace settings are kept until you delete them or close your account. Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your content at any time from inside the app. You can ask us to delete your account and its data, or to send you a copy of it, by writing to support@scribedeck.app. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information; we apply these requests to everyone regardless of location.

Children

Scribedeck is intended for use by churches and their teams, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Content is stored with access controls so that a church's material is reachable only by that church's workspace, and connections are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will tell you.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify account holders by email.
