No. Scribedeck runs entirely in your browser — on the office laptop, the booth computer, a phone, or an iPad. There's nothing to download and nothing to update.
Yes. Pick either demo on the home page — sermon notes into slides, or lyrics into worship slides — and you'll build a real deck with no account. Creating a free workspace only matters when you want to save your work and invite your team.
Notes or song lyrics. A Word document (.docx) works best because we can read your highlights, bold, and underlines to know which lines matter; PDFs, PowerPoints and phone photos of printed pages work too — including highlights and bold in a photo. Already have slides? Drop in a PowerPoint (or a Keynote exported to PowerPoint) and present it. Or drop a batch of photos and videos to build a rolling slideshow. Or start blank and type.
Yes. On the upload page pick Song lyrics (or just upload — anything with Verse / Chorus labels is recognised as a song). The words are split into sections and open in the song editor, where you set the arrangement and lines per slide. You can paste lyrics straight in, too.
You create a workspace and get a 6-letter invite code. Anyone who enters it joins the same space (guests who only need to drop off a file get a separate drop-off link, and never become members) — same songs, same saved decks, same order of service. Admins can make other people admins, rename members, and remove them from the Dashboard. No per-seat fees.

One thing you ask the AI to do — draft a deck, tidy your notes, highlight key words, draw a chart, or build an after-event pack — is one action. Designing a custom background image counts as 10. Solo + AI includes 250 a month, Enterprise + AI includes 2,000, and you can top up 250 more for $4.99 whenever you need them — topped-up actions never expire.
Yes. Scribebot can see the deck you have open and edit it when you ask — "make all slides caps", "switch to Blackout", "make it lower thirds", "delete slide 4", "fix the typo in the title", "put slide 2 in Spanish". It can also look things up online, and add a verse in any translation, including NIV and ESV, as a real verse slide. Deck edits are free; drafting, designing and charts use AI actions.
Six things, all optional. Create with AI drafts a whole deck from a topic or your rough notes. Tidy up with AI cleans the lines from your uploaded notes — splits ones too long for a slide, highlights key words, suggests verses your notes imply — without rewriting your words. Highlight key words marks up an existing deck in one tap. The background designer paints a custom 16:9 background from your description. Give it numbers and it draws a pie, bar, or flow chart as a slide. And when the event is over, the after-event pack writes a recap, discussion questions, and social posts.
No. Everything the AI drafts lands in the same editor as always — you review it, edit any line, and nothing is final until you say so. Highlights and backgrounds can be removed with one tap.
Not at all. Every core feature — uploads, live presenting, follow-along, exports — works exactly the same on the regular plan. AI is a separate add-on for people who want a head start on the writing and design.
Your decks and notes are sent to the AI only when you press an AI button, only to answer that request. We don't use your content to train models.
A song is made of sections — Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge — and an arrangement: the order they're sung in, repeats included, exactly like ProPresenter's Arrangement view. Set lines per slide for the whole song or per section ("whole chorus on one slide"), drag the arrangement into order, and the preview shows every slide in the order it will play.
Yes. Each section is a named, color-coded group in the file and the arrangement is pre-set, so it opens in Pro7's Arrangement view ready to go. A chorus sung three times is stored once and referenced three times, the way an operator would build it by hand.
Ask it to fetch public-domain hymns ("add Amazing Grace"), re-chunk lines ("two lines per slide"), set the order ("verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus twice"), or translate a song. For modern, copyrighted songs, paste the lyrics from your own CCLI source — Scribedeck never hosts them for you.
Yes. Any deck or song can use a text layout: full screen, lower third, upper third, left or right side panel, a ticker strip, or a corner caption. Set it for the whole deck, for one slide, or just for the downloaded file — so the same message can be full-screen in the room and a lower third over your live stream.
Yes. Turn the box off entirely, pick its color, transparency and size, choose rounded or square corners, or make it fade into the picture. Text switches to white or ink automatically to stay readable, unless you've chosen your own color. All of it carries into ProPresenter and PowerPoint.
Yes. One click gives you a file ProPresenter 7 imports directly — a slide per line, verse references in the footer, your fonts and highlights intact, and every slide fully editable afterward. Your operator doesn't rebuild anything.
Yes — the background comes in as its own layer in ProPresenter's editor, separate from the text, so your operator can swap or clear it and drop in their own media. It's embedded in the PowerPoint export too, and photos on individual slides come through as well.
Yes. When you download for ProPresenter you can choose the background: as-shown, plain black, or fully transparent (text only) — so your words drop straight onto whatever motion or media ProPresenter is already playing. You can pick a transparent style right on the style screen, too.
Then you never have to. Scribedeck Live presents the whole service full-screen from a browser tab, with a projector window for the second screen — no other software needed.
Open your service or deck link on the computer that's plugged into the projector. The Projector Window button opens a clean output — and if you have a second display connected (extended, not mirrored), it opens right on that screen automatically. Your phone or iPad becomes the remote.
Yes — that's Voice follow. Turn it on and Scribedeck listens as you speak and moves to the next slide when you reach its words, hands-free. It works best in Chrome and Safari on a computer, and it currently listens in English — so if you preach in another language, use taps or the arrow keys (which always override it anyway). A little panel shows you it's hearing you.
Yes. The QR opens a normal web page in the phone's browser, so it works anywhere with internet, on any phone, with nothing to install. Every QR and link points to scribedeck.app — we chose that on purpose because a few mobile networks (in India, for example) block other web addresses, and we've confirmed scribedeck.app loads there. Your congregation can also each pick their own language on that page, which makes it especially handy for international and multilingual churches.
Yes. Put the follow-along QR on screen and anyone can scan it to read every slide on their phone. They can pick their language, and every slide shows up translated for them — with real Bible translations for the verses where we have them (not machine-translated scripture).
Yes. Your whole uploaded document rides along with the deck. Open the Notes panel and it sits beside the slides, the lines for the current slide light up, and you can drag it anywhere and resize it. You can even edit it right there. It's optional — off unless you turn it on.
Yes. Add a background video to any slide and a soundtrack to the deck — during Present live you get play/pause, volume, a seek bar, and can switch between songs. Video plays and stays in sync on every screen; music plays from the presenter's device so the room doesn't echo.
Yes. Draw right on the slide with a finger or Apple Pencil and the ink appears on the projector and every phone live. By default it clears when you move on — or turn on Keep markings and each slide remembers what you drew for the rest of the service.
Yes. Save the links you use — event registration, giving, announcements — and tap Show on the one you need. It appears on every screen: a big QR on the projector and a tap-to-open button on phones.

Public-domain translations in 15 languages, filled in automatically from a reference — English (KJV, WEB, ASV and more), plus Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, and others. Licensed translations like NIV and ESV are coming as we add publisher licenses.
Yes. Type slides in any script — Tamil, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and more — and the right fonts are used automatically, in the app and in your exports.
Yes. If your notes already contain the verse text, flip off “look up Bible verses” and Scribedeck leaves every line exactly as you wrote it.
You do. Your song library is private to your church. Scribedeck never hosts copyrighted lyrics or non-public-domain translations for you — you add your own songs, which stay yours.
Saved decks and dropped files are kept for 30 days by default, then cleaned up automatically, so download anything you want to keep long-term. Your song library and background designs don't expire.
No. Scribedeck is independent and not affiliated with Renewed Vision. We simply export a file their software can open.
